FALL THRIFT SALE
Friday November 3, 6 – 9 pm
Saturday November 4, 10 – 1 pm
Have you put your spring cleaning on hold, in the hope of being able to donate your discards to the Thrift Sale? If so, relief is imminent, because collection will begin almost immediately for Dunbar-Ryerson’s first joint bigger and better-than-ever Thrift Sale! Carol Sloan and Carol Renwick will soon be standing by to receive your no-longer-cherished treasures.
The first collection date is Saturday, June 24. Please bring your donations to the back door of the Gym (2195 West 45th Ave.) between 10 am and 2 pm. Further collections will be held on dates to be announced later.
What to bring: books, men’s, ladies’ and children’s clothing, china, collectibles, decorations, small electrical appliances, housewares, jewelry, lamps, linens, notions, pictures, sporting goods, toys, and wheeled luggage are all wanted. Winter clothing and Halloween costumes are particularly desired.
Regrettably, we cannot accept broken appliances, building supplies, Christmas lights or trees, artificial Christmas trees, TVs, computers, computer components, children’s car seats/cribs/high chairs, e-cigarettes, beds/mattresses, carpet remnants, light fixtures without wall plugs, non-commercially-recorded audio/VHS tapes/CDs/DVDs, skis, ski boots or ski poles, snowboards, suitcases without wheels or window blinds of any kind, including venetian blinds.
Please note that due to new limitations upon our storage space, we can no longer accept furniture of any kind.
Also, no further hangers or plastic bags are needed at present.
The Thrift Sale Committee will soon be looking for contributions of time as well as merchandise.
